For more than 20 years I lived a somewhat conventional life with a career in sales, marketing and management of innovative high-tech hardware, software and Internet companies, but for the past ten years I have been traveling and pursuing a career in photography.

Can you believe that its 2010 already?
Looking ahead... Despite my lack of new year resolutions and even after taking into account my generally grim prospects for the future...I have reason to believe that 2010 will be a great year!Certainly it started out with a BANG... and also with lots of beer and "silly string", but that was all before today's extraordinarily regretable, challenging Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00111479058977623020noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6987540.post-46087578172822538682009-12-29T10:51:00.000-08:002009-12-29T11:33:07.391-08:00Happy New Year♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦

Dave Pell is an expert. Just take a look at his blog.
I haven't been marketable as an expert lately. Maybe that's my problem. I tend to understand and portray myself as a generalist, but I need to market myself as an expert. To be specific... in general, companies just aren't hiring generalists these days. I still have those moments when I crave it, (like right now) but I've been able to overcome the urge and I just look the other way when I walk past my local coffee-shop.
I still have the occasional Coke or cup of tea, because it seems that these forms of caffeine just don't affect me the same way a strong cuppa joe does.

I've got LOTS of photos where I appear in some reflective surface, so I'll be making more submissions periodically to The Mirror Project. Fun!

Maybe I'm just not happy about the quality of what I shot or the fact that I still have a steep learning curve ahead of me with my new camera. Or maybe I just need to learn to be a better editor. All of the above.
